Gorgeous, kind and curious. As soon as you stop your car near their fences, the whole group will come running over to greet you. Took this shot using my D810 and the 14-24.

Shot with my 50mm 1.8. I was very surprised at how capable that lens turned out to be for ~$200! In comparison to my other spend, this has easily surpassed its worth by flying colours.

I'm not going to say where I found this house, but it was in the middle of nowhere on a mountain F road and caught me off-guard. I did not at all expect to see a home like this right off of the crazy banged up road. Awesome.

Leaving the Snaefellsness we came across this cool mountain hut seated appropriately against a gorgeous mountain.... go figure.
Landmannalaugar Bound
The reason why I loved having a 4x4 at my disposal is the ability to move away from nice paved roads to more adventurous mountain roads in Iceland. F208 (standing right behind us) to Landmannalaugar presented us with the most alien scenery I had ever witnessed. There were very few safe places to stop, and to be quite frank... you'd have to be an idiot to stop on that road as you'd be risking your life and others.
Sunset and... Sheep.
These blasted sheep are everywhere and will sit either next to the road or right on it. Take extreme care while driving and keep an vigilant eye out for these guys.

... well at least that's a small part of it. Depending on your pace it can take anywhere between 3 - 5 days to complete the entire Laugavegur trail as it stretches 55km to Þórsmörk's breathtaking view of valleys, mountains and glacial rivers.
